Launching calculations

Customers can obtain services of Conceptia for arriving at safe launching procedures. A complete assessment of the latest weight on board will be carried out. Recommendations regarding ballasting requirements, timing of launching and slipping arrangements can be worked out by Conceptia.

Inclining experiment

Before commencement of the sea trials of the vessel, Conceptia can be commissioned to carry out inclining experiment for the vessel. Calculation of the metacentric height would be carried out by the Conceptia team of Naval Architects.

Tests and Trials

Customers may approach Conceptia for carrying out tests and trials during sea trials. We would be able to record all Naval Architectural characteristics of vessels during trials viz. turning radius, see-keeping parameters, comfort levels with in the vessel etc.

Survey/Tonnage

Ship owners purchasing ships are required to register them with statutory bodies before they can be used. Registration requires copies of original certificates of survey and tonnage computation. Conceptia can carry out the survey and computations for owners.

1. Mazagon Docks Ltd, Mumbai Dec 2003 – Dec 2005	Warship – Frigate Scope of Work: Understanding the basic design drawings submitted by client. Prepare standard structural details for production and obtain approval. Prepare production drawings, NC cutting data and Part list Prepare compartment layout Routing of pipes, cables and AC/Ventilation ducts. Prepare pipe spool drawings and BOM.
2. Cochin Shipyard Ltd, Cochin Jul 2004 – Ongoing	Air Defence Ship Scope of Work: Augment the design efforts of Cochin Shipyard and the Indian Navy in the preparation of compartment layout drawings, verification of structural drawings and preparation of Volume models of equipment in TRIBON. A team of 30 engineers headed by a project manager is positioned at the Directorate of Naval Design at New Delhi.
3. NK, Japan Sep 2004 – Dec 2004	Bulk carrier & Crude carrier Scope of Work: Prepare faired hull surface from offset table and make 3D TRIBON structural model of a Panamax Bulk Carrier and an Aframax Crude Oil Carrier for FEA analysis of the Ships structure.
4. Mazagon Docks Ltd, Mumbai Mar 2006 – Sep 2006	2000 Cu. Mtr. Cutter suction Dredger Scope of Work: Understanding the basic design drawings submitted by client. Preparation of production drawings and Part list using AutoCAD. Prepare compartment layout drawings. Prepare pipe, cable and ventilation duct drawings.
5. Sembawang Shipyard Ltd, Singapore May 2006 – Dec 2006	Drill Ship – Phase – I Scope of Work: The structural model of Drill Ship Living Quarters has to be prepared by referring to the classification drawings supplied by Sembawang shipyard. The production drawings and the Nesting documents are also prepared. The work also involves development of components for Engineering / Outfitting /Electrical/ Structural / Miscellaneous components. The piping, routing and ventilation modeling is also done by Conceptia for this project. Prepare collision free compartment layouts, Pipe spool sketches, P& I diagrams and all electrical design documents including Lux calculations. Drill Ship – Phase – II Scope of Work: Along with yard personnel go onboard the ship, carry out Line out inspection and make appropriate modifications to production drawings to solve problems on board. Prepare as fitted drawings.
6. BSL, Mumbai Oct 2006 – Sep 2007	Anchor Handling Tug cum OSV Scope of Work: Prepare faired lines plan and suggest modifications to offset table data points. Prepare 3D model of the Anchor Handler in Tribon 3D modeling software. Positioning of seams in panels based on material order list; prepare production drawings assigning position nos to each and every part, assign excess and shrinkage values. Prepare nesting sketches, NC codes. Prepare equipment layout and pipe arrangement drawings and ensure collision free arrangement of equipment, pipes, cables and ducts complete with maintenance spaces and insulation. Prepare pipe spool sketches. Inspection of structural blocks after construction and clearing production related problems.
7. Dubai Dry-docks, UAE	A large team of Conceptia engineers are working on various projects (FPSOs, Seismic Exploration Vessels etc) in Dubai Dry docks and Sembawang shipyard helping to augment their team strength as a strategic partner. Conceptia team providing world class engineering services for new building, conversion and repair projects in piping, structure and electrical departments. Conceptia engineers are engaged in detailing for pipes and structure, material management, project monitoring, site and yard coordination in FPSO conversions and new building projects. Our team is serving our clients also in design reviews, NDT and test packs, material reconciliation etc.
8. Pipavav Shipyard, Gujarat, India Mar 2008 - Nov 2008	Pipavav Shipyard has signed a 02 year strategic partnership with Conceptia for engineering. Under this contract Conceptia will provide detail engineering support to PSL for their Gantry Cranes as well as Panamax bulk carriers that are under construction at India’s largest Greenfield shipyard.
